Ingredients

  • 3 cups (2 packages, 1kg, 2.2lpbs... ) Beechwood Honeydew
  • 3 cups reg. honey
  • 14 cups water
  • handful of spices (cloves, cinnamon, nutmeg)
  • 1/2 orange, diced
  • bit of black tea

Process

Prep

Heat it all togeather until it comes to a boil, cool, put in carbor w/ yeast

  • began dec 2008
  • prolly only got to 200°f
  • cooled naturally, didn't use chiller.
  • Original SG: 1.140 ( 17%pot)
  • used 1 tsp
  • Note: yeast was old, looked lackluster.
  • Added extra packet of yeast

Still no activity; added 2 2/3 cups of boiled water
